January 31:  Last day to submit prerequisites to apply for AP Examination Fee Reduction.  If you think you may qualify for a fee reduction, see our Carlmont Treasurer. If you are receiving free/reduce fee lunch you have already been approved.  Please return attached form to Ms. Bologna in the office indicating the exams you plan to take so the fee adjustment can be applied before you purchase your exams.

February 13:  Last day to submit qualified requests for test accommodations.



February 6: AP exams will be available for purchase via student’s IC account - Instructions for payment through IC account located on the Carlmont website (Each exam is $98 and there is a $3 processing fee per transaction.  Please contact the AP Testing Coordinator, Mike Kedkad ( for assistance or with questions.     

Feb. 20: Last Day to purchase AP Exams.

Students taking an AP Exam are required to attend one of the

pre-slug sessions listed below(sessions arranged by last name, except for Thursday early morning session is open to everyone), please bring your student ID and a #2 pencil

(NO mechanical pencils allowed)

 Tuesday   April 24: Meet in the Student Union after 6th period (A-K)  
 Thursday April 26:  Meet in the Student Union before school at 8:00am (Open to All)

     Thursday April 26: Meet in the Student Union after 6th period (L -Z)

We will post the dates as we get closer to the testing:
 Directions for purchasing AP Exams in IC:
  •  Log-on to Infinite Campus by going to you do not know your log-on information select the HELP icon and follow the instructions to get your sign-on information)
  • Once you are signed on, select your student taking the AP tests.
  • Select Payment option from the Family menu on the left hand side of the display
  • Click on the Optional Items section underneath Fees and this will list the AP tests your student can take.  Click on each of the AP tests for which you wish to register your student. 
  • Once you have chosen your student’s tests, click on the blue box listing the price under the heading “Due”. The cost will be added to column on the right. Please double check that you have selected the correct tests and the total charge is accurate.  Now select Continue to go to the payment page.
  •  Select method of payment and provide the needed information.  Select Continue to go to the final payment page.
  • Review the details on the page. 
  • Please double check that you have signed up for the correct exams.
  • Finally, select Make Payment to complete the transaction.

 Cancellation Information-

Cancellation of any exam must be done in the treasurer’s office 24 hours prior to the beginning of the exam to receive a partial refund.

Afternoon exams end time varies and is undefined.  Please do not make any personal appointments, schedule work, plan on making the game, etc. 

Students are not allowed to leave exams early – no exceptions.

Carlmont AP Exam Testing Procedures
Carlmont AP Exams are available to Carlmont students. Sales to home-schooled students who reside within Carlmont’s boundaries and other SUHSD students may be made based on availability.   Carlmont will not be selling tests to students outside our district this year.

During the Exams In May

Bring to the Exam Room

• Several sharpened No. 2 pencils with erasers (not mechanical pencils).

• School identification. No school ID, no test.

• Pens with black or dark blue ink for completing areas on the exam booklet covers and for free-response questions in most exams.

• Up to two calculators with the necessary capabilities if taking an AP Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics or Statistics Exam. View the College Board’s student site ( for a list of approved calculators.

• A ruler or straightedge if taking an AP Physics Exam.

• College Board SSD Accommodations Letter if taking an exam with approved testing accommodations.


Do Not Bring to the Exam Room

• Cell phones, digital cameras, personal digital assistants (PDAs), BlackBerry smartphones, Bluetooth-enabled devices, MP3 players, email/messaging devices, or any other electronic or communication devices.

• Books, compasses, mechanical pencils, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters,* notes, or colored pencils.*

• Rulers and straightedges (except as previously noted).*

• Scratch paper

• Computers* or calculators (except as previously noted).

• Reference guides, keyboard maps or other typing instructions.

• Watches that beep or have an alarm.

• Portable listening* or recording devices — even with headphones — or photographic equipment.

• Clothing with subject-related information.
    Water Bottle - one bottle of water will be provided.
* Unless this has been preapproved as an accommodation by the College Board Services for Students with Disabilities office prior to the test date.

PSAT (Preliminary SAT)

The PSAT is given to our 10th and 11th grade students on Wed Oct. 10 at 8AM. This exam is a preliminary SAT that will give the student results that indicate strength and weaknesses.  Students should create a College Board account - using their exact information from their Infinite Campus account.
