Carlmont AP Exams are available to Carlmont students. Sales to high-school aged home-schooled students who reside within Carlmont’s boundaries and other SUHSD students may be made based on availability.   Carlmont will not be selling tests to students outside our district this year.

February 1:  Last day to submit prerequisites to apply for AP Examination Fee Reduction.  If you think you may qualify for a fee reduction, see the school Treasurer. If you are receiving free/reduced fee lunch you have already been approved.  Please return attached form (green) to Ms. Bravo in the office indicating the exams you plan to take, so the fee adjustment can be applied before you purchase your exams.
 
February 1:  Last day to submit qualified requests for test accommodations to Ms. Bravo in the office.
 
ALL AP EXAMS MUST BE PURCHASED ONLINE

February 4: AP exams will be available for purchase via student’s IC account -  Instructions for payment through IC account is on the Carlmont website. Each exam is $98* and there is a $3 processing fee per transaction (*AP Seminar is $142).  Please contact the AP Testing Coordinator, Cari McDowell, for assistance or with questions.
 
February 15: Last Day to purchase AP Exams.

All students taking an AP Exam are required to attend one of the AP Exam pre-slug sessions listed below.  Bring your student ID and a #2 pencil.

Tuesday, April 23: Meet in the Student Union after 6th period   
OR  
Wednesday, April 24:  Meet in the Student Union before school at 7:45am
OR
Wednesday, April 24: Meet in the Student Union after 6th period   
 
 
AP Examinations administered from May 6 through May 15.  Check the back of the AP Bulletin for exact dates of each exam.
 
PLEASE NOTE:  Students need to arrive 15 minutes prior to exam time for check-in.  Exam days and times are predetermined by College Board and there is no flexibility.

Please double check to make sure you are purchasing the correct exams.  (Calc Ab vs BC, English Literature or English Language, US History, Goverment/Politics or US Comparative Politics, etc...)
 
2019 AP EXAMS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE from MONDAY , FEB. 4 until FRIDAY, FEB. 15.  
 
Directions for purchasing AP Exams via Infinite Campus:  
  • Log-on to Infinite Campus (if you do not know your log-on information, go to the HELP icon and follow the instructions to get your sign-on information).
  • Once you are signed on, select the student taking the AP tests.
  • Select Payment button on the left-hand side of the display. If you do not see a Payment button on the left side, choose the Family menu and it should appear.
  • Click on the Optional Items (bottom of page) section underneath Fees and this will list the AP tests your student may take. Click on each of the AP tests you want to register your student for.
  • Once you have chosen all your student’s tests, click on the blue Continue box.  The cost will be added in the column on the right. Please double check that you have selected the correct tests and the total charge is accurate.  Now select Continue to go to the payment page.
  • Select the method of payment and provide the needed information.  Select Continue to go the the next payment page.
  • Review the details on the page. Add your email if you want an email receipt.  However, once you complete your transaction, there is an option to print a receipt.
  • Once more, check that you have signed up for the correct exams.  (Calc AB vs. BC, AP US History vs. US Gov vs. US Comparative Politics, English Lang vs. English Lit, etc)
  • Finally, select Make Payment to complete the transaction.
  • Optional: Click on the blue Print button, on the bottom right, for a receipt.
Cancellation Information:
Cancellation of any exam must be done in the treasurer’s office 24 hours prior to the beginning of the exam to receive a partial refund.

Please Note:
Afternoon exams have varied end times and are undefined.  Please do not make any personal appointments, schedule work, plan on making the game/practice, etc.  Students must all leave at the same time from exams and no one is allowed to leave early - NO EXCEPTIONS.

During the Exams In May

Bring to the Exam Room


• Several sharpened No. 2 pencils with erasers (not mechanical pencils).

• School identification. No school ID, no test.

• Pens with black or dark blue ink for completing areas on the exam booklet covers and for free-response questions in most exams.

• Up to two calculators with the necessary capabilities if taking an AP Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics or Statistics Exam. View the College Board’s student site (www.apstudent.collegeboard.org/apcourse) for a list of approved calculators.

• A ruler or straightedge if taking an AP Physics Exam.

• College Board SSD Accommodations Letter if taking an exam with approved testing accommodations.

 

Do Not Bring to the Exam Room

• Cell phones, digital cameras, personal digital assistants (PDAs), BlackBerry smartphones, Bluetooth-enabled devices, MP3 players, email/messaging devices, or any other electronic or communication devices.

• Books, compasses, mechanical pencils, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters,* notes, or colored pencils.*

• Rulers and straightedges (except as previously noted).*

• Scratch paper

• Computers* or calculators (except as previously noted).

• Reference guides, keyboard maps or other typing instructions.

• Watches that beep or have an alarm.

• Portable listening* or recording devices — even with headphones — or photographic equipment.

• Clothing with subject-related information.
    Water Bottle - one bottle of water will be provided.
 
* Unless this has been preapproved as an accommodation by the College Board Services for Students with Disabilities office prior to the test date.

PSAT (Preliminary SAT)

The PSAT is given to our 10th and 11th grade students on Wed Oct. 10 at 8AM. This exam is a preliminary SAT that will give the student results that indicate strength and weaknesses.  Students should create a College Board account www.collegeboard.org - using their exact information from their Infinite Campus account.
