Mandatory Graduation practice starts at 10:00 am sharp on the Wednesday and Thursday before graduation. Those who miss practice will be removed from the Graduation Seating Chart and not allowed to walk on Friday.
Carlmont allows grads to pick a partner to proceed in, sit with, and recede out. Partner requests will be accepted by the senior class officers in the Spring Semester.
Please have the graduate find his/her seat. The chart is posted on the website and on the windows of the ASB room.
The ceremony starts at 10:00 am and lasts approximately 2 hours.
Seniors must report to their assigned classroom at 9:00 am. The assignments will be given at Graduation Practice.
The ceremony is held on the Football Field with fans seated on the football field and visitor’s bleachers and graduates in the home bleachers.
Seating for family and friends is on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no tickets issued. Some people arrive as early as 6:00 to get the best seats. Seating will be in chairs on the field and in the visitor’s bleachers. We try our hardest to enforce the policy of no reserving seats unless you are sitting in the seat.
No visitors/family will be allowed on the track.
Parking and drop-off for elderly and handicapped is in the Seniors Parking Lot. That lot usually fills up between 8:00 and 9:00 am.
Handicap/Elderly seating is available on the field. Follow the signs.
The ceremony will occur rain or shine. Please prepare for the weather accordingly. Also, the artificial surface of the football field can get quite hot.
There will be a professional photographer from Grad Images. You will be able to access information on the Carlmont Website for ordering proofs.
We restrict access near the front and sides of the stage. To get the closest to your graduate proceeding up to the stage, you can sit near one of two aisles that they will be proceeding up. They will find out which aisle they are proceeding up during Grad Practice.
