Parent and Student Forums
Forums are an opportunity for 8th graders and their parents to attend an event together on campus. During COVID, we regret that we are unable to offer the Forums in person. The forums will be held through a Zoom webinar session and will include the opportunity to ask questions of the hosting staff and students.
These information sessions are intended for those families who are considering a variety of high school options.  If you know your child will attend Carlmont, the Parent Information Night (see below) in March should give you all the information you need about Carlmont and registration in the district.
Please note that we are offering a campus tour in January for parents and students attending a virtual forum. This is a chance to see the campus in person and hear about campus life from our student ambassadors. However, the forum webinar is where all detailed information pertaining to academics and programs will be provided.
This year our Parent and Student Forums will be held on the following dates:
  • Tuesday, January 25, 2022 @ 5:30 - 6:15pm. Tour will be at 4pm on campus.
  • Wednesday, February 9, 2022 @ 5:30 - 6:15pm. Currently no tour is planned for this date.
Registration opens November 15, 2021, will be limited, and taken on a first-come, first-served basis for each event. Please check back here for a link to register after November 15th.

Parent Information Night
This year we are offering our Parent Information Night on campus on March 9, 2022. No registration is required to attend this event. Our team of Student Ambassadors will be guiding tours of the campus, and a programming info session will be hosted by our Principal and the Carlmont Counseling Center. This session is catered toward all incoming parents at Carlmont and will highlight enrollment and registration information with the District as well as academics and student life for Freshman.
The same or similar enrollment information will also be mailed to home addresses, and emailed to accounts on file, of all incoming freshman parents when their students have enrolled through Carlmont feeder middle schools.

Carlmont Freshman Parent Orientation Night
This event is held every year in August, one evening the week before school starts. This event will cover everything you need to know about getting your freshman off to a good start at Carlmont and also offer you the chance to meet parent volunteer and support groups on campus.

In addition to these events, opportunities are available to attend science lectures, sporting events, music, drama, choral and dance performances all throughout the year. Visit the calendar on the Carlmont website for the most up-to-date information.

On Demand Videos Featuring Academic and Student Life at Carlmont
For parents looking for more in depth information about the academic pathways and enrichment programs for students, we encourage you to take a look at our “on demand” videos below. This information was pre-recorded and highlights all the academic offerings at our school, including but not limited to: electives, foreign languages, core curriculum (including the various levels and pathways associated with each subject), athletics and PE, music and performing arts, special education, the counseling department and our Carlmont College and Career Center support and services. Please enjoy at your own pace and convenience.

Below is our pre-recorded session for 2020-2021. Please check back as we update these videos and offer segmented videos for each area for your ease of viewing (expected in October or November 2021).
